As part of the 31st day of La Liga, Granada, nineteenth at kick-off, defeated Alavés (2-0), fourteenth. Already almost condemned to relegation, the Andalusian club has ended a series of eleven matches without a victory. At Los Carmenes, José Ramon Sandoval’s men first opened the scoring on a penalty through Albanian striker Myrto Uzuni (1-0, 9th).

Just before the break, Lucas Boye finally doubled the lead (2-0, 38th). Returning from the locker room, the Rojiblancos, although dominated in collective control, managed to maintain their advantage to sign their third victory of the season. In the ranking, Granada remains 19th but is 8 lengths behind Cádiz, 17th. Alavés is still 14th.
