A week after losing to Mallorca, one of the other revelations of the start of the La Liga season, Rayo Vallecano got its head back on track. Opposed to Alavés this Saturday during the 11th day, the club from the suburbs of Madrid won 1-0, thanks to an own goal from the opposing goalkeeper, Antonio Sivera.

Imperial for 80 minutes, the 28-year-old goalkeeper was ultimately unfortunate when he diverted a shot into his own goal. Note that Rayo was without a player in the 22nd minute of play after the expulsion of Mumin, and that James Rodríguez remained on the bench the entire match. In the standings, Inigo Perez’s men are 7th. Alavés is 14th.
