The Cadiz team avoided the worst. While the players of the Spanish team were flying to El Salvador for a post-season friendly match, a problem with one of the engines of the plane transporting the team to El Salvador created panic ten minutes after takeoff. The pilot then forced an emergency landing at Seville airport and no injuries were reported.

However, the yellow club has already informed the Salvadoran government that the trip is canceled due to the lack of security and the shock caused by the accident. “We thought we were going to die, everything crossed our minds. We noticed a slight explosion and the stewards were a little nervous. There was a problem with the engine and they told us we had to land quickly. Fortunately, we are all in good health”explained Álex Fernández, midfielder from Cádiz, to Chiringuito. The friendly match was logically canceled.
