Bilbao long believed they would carry out the weekend’s operation by winning against Villarreal, but that was without counting on Dani Parejo. After a missed penalty from Gerard Moreno (11th), a red card collected by Comesana (46th), and the opening score of Sancet (67th, 1-0), nothing seemed to go in favor of the visitors, until penalty awarded in the very last moments of the match and transformed by Parejo (90+5th, 1-1).

A result which does not do the business of Bilbao (5th), winner of the Copa del Rey a few days earlier, and which had the opportunity to come back to within two points of Atlético de Madrid, 4th, in the event of victory. For its part, Villarreal climbs to 9th position.
