Football fans will be able to watch Ligue 1 footage on France Télévisions from Monday, September 9.
The French championship is back on public service! During the call for tenders for Ligue 1 TV rights, France Télévisions acquired a “magazine right” for the period 2024-2029. France 3 will thus offer Le Mag Ligue 1 during the week, a sequence of approximately five minutes which will be broadcast at the end of Tout Le Sport from this Monday, September 9 at 7:50 p.m.
“Ligue 1 is coming to France Télévisions! Join us tomorrow evening (this Monday) from 7:50 p.m. on France 3 for the grand premiere of Mag Ligue 1. Can’t wait to see you again with as many images and reports as possible from the heart of the clubs! “, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) Fabien Lévêque, who will be the presenter of this new magazine.
Fabien Lévêque: “It won’t just be PSG, OM, OL…”
To find traces of L1 images on the public service ”
we have to go back to the 2007-2008 season with the France 2 Foot show, broadcast on Sunday lunchtime (and presented by Denis Balbir) “, recalled Fabien Lévêque, and added: ” We’re getting back into it 16 years later. It was a furtive intrusion into the world of Ligue 1, this time we’re coming back for a much longer period. It’s a five-year contract that will allow French football to be permanently installed on public service channels. It’s still a significant change.”
The 44-year-old journalist also assured that it will not only be for the big teams in the championship. “France 3 is also the regional channel, it won’t just be PSG, OM, OL…, he confided. For example, we are going to focus on the Japan Connexion of Reims with its Japanese players, its Japanese sponsors, its tour of Japan this summer… We have also committed to touring France’s clubs and relocating TLS and Le Mag Ligue 1 eighteen times a year. We will start in Brest on September 17, live from the Francis-Le Blé stadium, two days before their big Champions League debut (against Sturm Graz).
