The Hurt Business, featuring Bobby Lashley, MVP, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin, became one of the best things about WWE programming during the early 2020s. Sadly, the faction was abruptly broken up but with rumors suggesting Lashley and MVP could be leaving WWE, the likelihood of them getting to use the ‘Hurt Business’ name outside WWE has been revealed.

Recent reports suggested that MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Tamina had been removed from WWE’s internal roster. In response, MVP has confirmed that he is very satisfied with his current life.

However, it was then reported that both Bobby Lashley and MVP are still listed on WWE’s internal roster, contrary to the rumors of their removal. In addition to that, reports suggested the Hurt Business could be poised to make return in AEW.

PWInsider reports that within WWE, it is anticipated that both MVP and Bobby Lashley will likely depart when their contracts expire. The duo, along with Shelton Benjamin, could be valuable assets to any promotion interested in reforming their former stable, The Hurt Business. However, the name “The Hurt Business” is trademarked by WWE, so it cannot be used by other organizations

We have also reported on the timeline for MVP’s WWE contract expiry, as it will expire next month. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether The Hurt Business will make their return somewhere down the line, as they clearly can’t keep the same name.

What do you think of The Hurt Business possibly reforming outside of WWE? What new name should they adopt if they do return? Let us know in the comments section below!
