Lille continues to move forward

Having passed the European obstacles brilliantly until then, Losc secured a second victory in Ligue 1 this Saturday. At the expense of Angers (2-0).

After having dismissed Fenerbahçe and gotten the better of Slavia Prague in the first leg of the Champions League play-off, Losc can boast of having attacked its championship strongly. Having defeated Reims in Champagne last week (0-2), the northern club had a successful home debut at the expense of Angers (2-0).

Faced with a SCO limited in terms of numbers, Lille did not fail, rewarded for their offensive efforts after half an hour of play with a breakthrough from Meunier (1-0, 34e). Less successful thereafter, the Dogues nevertheless doubled the lead at the very end of the match, through Bayo (2-0, 90e+5).

Losc in the top three

With this second victory in as many outings in Ligue 1, Lille invites itself to the top of the standings, in the wake of the provisional leader Paris, executioner of Montpellier on Friday evening (6-0), and ahead of AS Monaco, who earlier in the day got the better of OL (0-2). The promoted Angevin on the other hand is already in the red, weighed down by two defeats.
