Lille are looking to attract Dele Alli in the final hours of the transfer window. A real gamble.

The 2024 summer transfer window ends Friday evening at 11pm for Ligue 1 clubs. In this final stretch, everyone is trying to pull off a few last good moves and on Lille’s side, it’s a big bet that is in the making. The northern club is looking to attract a former prodigy of English football, in the person of Dele Alli.

If Olympique de Marseille chose to sign another English nugget a few weeks ago with Mason Greenwood, more in the odor of sanctity at Manchester United, the bet is much more important for Losc. Because if Dele Alli shone at the beginning of his career when he played at Tottenham, he has since lost his way, prey in particular to personal problems of a psychological nature, which he has struggled to overcome for several years.

Without a club and free of any contract, Dele Alli is currently training with Everton who would also like to sign him. According to

Sky SportsLille has therefore shown its interest. While it had rather succeeded in its move by bringing in Joe Cole a few years ago, Losc would therefore like to repeat the English experience. It remains to be seen whether everything will settle down in the coming hours.
