Lily Collins reappeared as Emily Cooper, her character in Netflix‘s Emily in Paris, for a promo for NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The actor reprised her role, pitching NBC executives to have Noah Lyles wear a gold uniform created by Pierre Caudault, the fictional designer in the Darren Star-created series, to the Olympics. Emily ends up spraying champagne at the end of the meeting, a nod to fictional client Champere Champagne from the show.
Collins followed the likes of Megan Thee Stallion and Peyton Manning who also starred in promos for NBC’s 2024 Paris Olympics coverage.
Collins reprising her role as Emily comes after a delayed fourth season of the comedy caused by the writers’ strike. Earlier this year, Netflix teased Season 4 at the Tudum fan event, where Collins suggested what questions would be answered in the future.
“Is Alfie still heartbroken?, Will Gabriel get his Michelin star? Will Mindy and the band go to Eurovision? Will Sylvie’s rekindled love last? And the question on all of our minds: will Emily and Gabriel finally get together?” were some questions that would be answered in the new season.
Although Collins didn’t reveal much about what’s ahead for Emily in Paris, she did tease that the characters would be going to Rome.
“We have more fun, more fashion, and, of course, more drama in store,” she said. “While Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes an unexpected twist this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.”
