The Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings played in a highly-anticipated match-up last night to determine the number 1 seed in the NFL playoffs. If you’re not an NFL fan, the number 1 seed is the team with the best record in each of the two divisions: AFC and NFC. The Chiefs have the number 1 seed for the AFC, while the Lions and Vikings both had the chance for the number 1 seed for the NFC. The best part about getting the number 1 seed is that the teams get a week off to rest while Wild Card playoffs take place. The wild card winners then advance to play the number 1 seeded teams (or another winning wild card team). Last night’s game saw the Lions beating the Vikings and earning the number 1 seed and a week off. The Vikings are still in the playoffs, but are now playing on Monday (January 13) in a playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams. The Lions will play the winner of that game in 2 weeks time. After last night’s game, Lions head coach Dan Campbell was caught on a hot mic speaking with Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell, and what he said is getting some attention! Keep reading to find out more… While meeting on the field post-game, Dan said to Kevin, “I’ll see you in two weeks.” This seems to infer that Dan thinks the Vikings will beat the Rams and return to Detroit to play in the Divisional Round of the playoffs against the Lions once again.
