There was a bit of controversy during the Sunday Night Football NFL game last night after quarterback Dak Prescott threw an interception. On the sidelines after, it appeared as if his number 1 wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb, had some words for him after the mistake. Dak was seated on the sidelines with his head down. CeeDee could be seen on the broadcast speaking in what looked to be an intense manner. Unfortunately, they were not mic’d up, so we can only guess what they were saying via clever amateur lip reading. NBC announcers Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth made it seem like it was a serious moment between them. However, there’s two main guesses as to what they were saying back-and-forth to one another. Keep reading to find out more… Some fans believe there was no animosity between them and CeeDee was saying something along the lines of “Jump ball, 4. Jump ball, I got you.” This basically means that CeeDee was telling Dak to throw the ball up high and CeeDee won’t let it get intercepted. Longtime Cowboys journalist Clarence Hill Jr agrees with this take, writing, “CeeDee Lamb clearly says jump ball….there is no controversy here. There is no division and no acrimony as the broadcast tried to make it.” Some fans, however, believe that CeeDee was chastising his QB. There’s a thought process that he said something along the lines of: “Subpar throw. Subpar, Dak.” You can watch video of the moment here.
