Didier Deschamps will announce his list for the two friendly matches France-Germany (March 23) and France-Chile (March 26) this Thursday at 2 p.m.

It is this Thursday, at 2 p.m. at the FFF headquarters, that Didier Deschamps will unveil the list of 23 players called up for the next two matches of the France team. Two friendly matches against Germany, on Saturday March 23 at the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, and against Chile, on Tuesday March 26 at the Orange Vélodrome in Marseille.

Three months to the day before the start of Euro 2024, the choices of the Blues coach will be closely scrutinized. Because, very often, the list of the first gathering of the year sets the trend for that of the following summer when a major event is looming, as will be the case in Germany (from June 14 to July 14).

Rabiot and Coman package

However, it will not be necessary to draw a definitive conclusion since two usual executives of the French group, Adrien Rabiot and Kingsley Coman, are injured and will be missing. Boubacar Kamara is in the same situation but, barring one or two major packages, his chances of appearing on the list for the Euro are quite slim.

Those who replace the first two will, however, have a real card to play. It could be Jordan Veretout or Mattéo Guendouzi in the middle, and Bradley Barcola or Moussa Diaby in attack. For the rest, there shouldn’t be too many surprises, Didier Deschamps not being used to making them.

The probable list of the Blues

Goalkeepers: Alphonse Areola, Mike Maignan, Brice Samba.

Defenders: Jonathan Clauss, Lucas Hernandez, Théo Hernandez, Ibrahima Konaté (or Axel Disasi), Jules Koundé, Benjamin Pavard, William Saliba, Dayot Upamecano.

Midfielders: Eduardo Camavinga, Youssouf Fofana, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Jordan Veretout (or Mattéo Guendouzi), Warren Zaire-Emery.

Attackers: Ousmane Dembélé, Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann, Randal Kolo Muani, Kylian Mbappé, Marcus Thuram, Bradley Barcola (or Moussa Diaby).

How to follow the announcement of the Deschamps list in streaming?

As with each Blues list, the French Football Federation will broadcast the event for free on its FFF TV platform, this Thursday March 14 at 2 p.m. It will also be possible to follow Didier Deschamps’ announcement live and streaming on La Chaîne L’Equipe and on Infosport+.
