This year’s Crown Jewel took a page out of the old Survivor Series theme and had a champion vs. champion match. This time, the winner would become the first ever Women’s Crown Jewel Champion, a championship kept for Crown Jewel shows. The Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan defeated the WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax to earn this honor.

Morgan won the match with ObLIVion after some help from Raquel Rodriguez and Dominik Mysterio. Tiffany Stratton had teased a cash in where she could easily become Tiffy Three Belts. But she was thwarted first by her buddy Jax and then by Rodriguez. Morgan almost got the win off of a Codebraker from the top rope when Rodriguez tussled the MITB briefcase away from Stratton.

Elsewhere on Crown Jewel, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill retained the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in one of the more enjoyable multi-woman tag matches in recent memory. It was a Fatal Four-way which included Chelsea Green/Piper Niven, Damage CTRL – Kairi Sane/IYO SKY, and Meta Girls – Jakara Jackson/Lash Legend. All eight women shined in this match and it even gave a “Chelsea Is Awesome” chant from the crowd. This was also a break out first main roster PLE appearance for the Meta Girls as Jackson and Legend shined.

In the end it would be Niven, hoisted up by Cargill’s impressive strength as Belair executed the Doomsday Device to get the win.
