Monday Night RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6 brought plenty of surprises, but none more shocking than Liv Morgan dropping the Women’s World Title to Rhea Ripley. While fans are still reeling from the title change, Liv Morgan has addressed her loss—but quickly deleted her comments.
Taking to Twitter/X, Morgan shared a bold statement shortly after the event. “She may have won the battle, but I won the war #LMRT,” Morgan wrote, alongside multiple photos from her match with Ripley. The tweet was deleted soon after, leaving fans to speculate about its meaning. Was it a subtle jab at Ripley, or a sign that Liv isn’t done fighting for her place in the spotlight?
Morgan’s journey to the title was anything but easy. She claimed the Women’s World Championship by defeating Becky Lynch at the King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event in 2024. Liv also defended her title against Ripley at SummerSlam and Bad Blood, even enduring Dominik Mysterio’s shocking betrayal of Ripley to help Morgan retain the gold.
Now, with WrestleMania 41 on the horizon, backstage reports suggest WWE is focusing on four key players for the women’s title matches: Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and a yet-to-be-revealed competitor. Liv’s exclusion from this lineup appears to have influenced the decision to take the title from her, as explained in a recent Q&A session on Backstage Pass.
“I think it becomes a numbers thing as we get closer to WrestleMania,” one insider shared. “They wanted Rhea, obviously, to be one of those. I think Becky and Charlotte are going to be two and three. And I just don’t believe they had a spot for Liv there.”
As WWE shifts gears heading into WrestleMania season, Liv Morgan’s deleted tweet has left fans wondering what’s next for the star. While she may no longer hold the title, her determination and fiery personality suggest she’s far from done.
