Becky Lynch has been absent from WWE television in recent months, and Liv Morgan says she retired her.
Morgan beat Lynch to win the WWE Women’s World Championship at WWE King and Queen of the Ring. She then defeated Lynch in a Steel Cage Match on the May 27 episode of WWE RAW, and Lynch has not been seen on WWE television since. She entered free agency in June, and her future remains unclear.
Speaking on The Big Show with Rusic and Rose, Liv Morgan discussed her current run and claimed that she retired Becky Lynch. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)
“I’m so happy and I’m so proud. I’m just trying to enjoy it all and do everything justice. Two time world champion. Two-time tag team champion. Money in the Bank winner. I single-handedly retired Becky Lynch. I’m the only person to defeat Rhea Ripley in the last two years, and I have Daddy Dom. I’m a very very very happy girl.”
As of this writing, there is no word on when Lynch will return to WWE. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
