The upcoming live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe is officially in production! The movie started filming this month in London, and the full cast of the epic has been revealed. “By the Power of Grayskull, filming for the new Masters of the Universe movie has officially kicked off! 🎥✨ We are thrilled to introduce our incredible cast, bringing your favorite characters to life and a few new additions along the way. ⚔️⚡️” the official Masters of the Universe Instagram account shared. Of course, we already know of several stars who are bringing the characters to life, including big names like Jared Leto and Idris Elba, as well as Nicholas Galitzine, who is leading the film. Masters of the Universe will be directed by Travis Knight, with a script by Chris Butler (initial draft written by David Callaham, and Aaron and Adam Nee). Plot details are being kept under wraps, and the movie is slated to hit theaters on June 5, 2026.
