Liverpool’s season is prodigious and has taken a grandiose turn for several days. Indeed, after a little over eight years of good and loyal service at the head of the Reds, Jürgen Klopp announced the end of his adventure at the head of the Mersey club at the end of this 2023-2024 vintage. A heartbreak for all the people of Liverpool who will therefore have to turn one of the most beautiful pages in their history within a few months. In the meantime, the 56-year-old coach continues to write great stories with the current Premier League leader.

Anfield is not the theater of dreams. However, Conor Bradley has been experiencing one awake for several weeks. The young 20-year-old Northern Irish right defender has become a permanent fixture in the German technician’s eleven. Taking advantage of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury to grab minutes with his training club, Bradley quickly became the darling of English supporters who fell under his spell thanks to his excellent performances.

The new darling of Anfield

Loaned to Bolton last season, where he was excellent, the native of Castlederg has been propelled into the Reds’ professional group since the start of the season. Since the start of the new year, the latter has burst the screen and notably achieved a major performance against Chelsea this Wednesday with a goal and two assists (1-4). At the end of the meeting, Jürgen Klopp was full of praise for his new gem: “an exceptional finish, the whole match, the contribution, the involvement. It’s work playing against Sterling, it’s not easy. I’m really happy for him. He’s a very serious young man and it was quite special, I must say. We saw it in preseason. He’s doing well. A few weeks ago while on holiday a few Bolton fans asked if they could have Bradley back, but it’s too late! For us, it is important, because we would not have been able to achieve these results without these young people.»

Already selected 13 times with the Northern Irish selection, the young 18-year-old player was also armored by Liverpool until 2027. Now, with the return of Trent Alexander-Arnold to the field, it seems that Conor Bradley will have to beat to play more often. One thing is certain: Klopp knows that he will be able to count on a quality understudy who could completely transform into an additional solution if Alexander-Arnold has to be repositioned in the axis in the near future. In the meantime, Conor Bradley will have to continue to work while all Liverpool supporters reaffirmed their love for him on a disastrous Saturday for the young player who lost his father. In Liverpool, he knows he will never walk alone.
