Raheem Sterling reportedly wants to return to Liverpool after being made available for transfer by Chelsea.
The 29-year-old made headlines last weekend after his representatives made a public statement following his omission from Enzo Maresca’s matchday squad to face Manchester City.
Chelsea responded by axing the winger from their European squad and giving his number seven shirt to new signing Pedro Neto.
Raheem Sterling knows which club he wants to sign for next
With the Englishman looking certain to leave Stamford Bridge before the August 30th transfer deadline, speculation about where he will play next is ramping up.
And according to a recent report from Fichajes, although Chelsea are locked in talks with Juventus over a possible agreement, the player has a different preference.

Sterling is thought to want to return to Liverpool; the club he started his career at before he transferred to Manchester City in 2015 in a deal worth a reported £49 million.

The level of Liverpool’s interest in re-signing their former player remains unknown though. It seems unlikely Arne Slot would give the proposed move the green light due to the 45-year-old being tasked with taking the team in a new direction following Jurgen Klopp’s shock exit at the end of last season.
Nevertheless, for Sterling, the future is uncertain. Although his next destination has yet to be decided, judging by the fall out at Chelsea, it seems staying at Stamford Bridge is all-but out of the question.
