Liverpool are sounding out three potential replacements for Andy Robertson ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports.

Signed for just £8million from Hull back in 2017, the Scot went on to become a vital cog in Jurgen Klopp’s heavy-metal, attacking style.

The left-back has now made over 300 appearances in all competitions for the clubs but doubts have begun to creep in about his levels of performances as he enters his eighth season at the club.

Robertson was benched last weekend for the Reds’ 2-1 comeback win against Brighton at Anfield, with Kostas Tsmikas replacing him.

But while the Greek international impressed in Arne Slot’s side, Liverpool are still said to be considering brining in another full-back to provide competition and eventually replace Robertson.

According to The Sun, Fulham’s Antonee Robinson and David Raum from RB Leipzig have been earmarked as viable targets.

Robinson, who provided the assist for Harry Wilson’s late winner against Brentford on Monday, is into his fifth season at Fulham but has excelled in recent campaigns under the tutuelage of Marco Silva.

Raum, meanwhile, is under contract at Leipzig until 2027 and would likely command a significant fee.

The final name on Liverpool’s shortlist is Ipswich Town’s Leif Davis who scored an incredible goal against Leicester City last weekend and has impressed in his first season in the top-flight.

Scouts have reportedly been to watch all three in action, with Slot set to have a major part to play in any final decision.

Robinson may appear the most convincing candidate given his Premier League experience, and has the backing of former Reds winger Jermaine Pennant.

‘I think he would be a good replacement,’ Pennant recently told Casino Apps. ‘He’s quick and that helps massively when trying to deal with players like Saka, which makes the game a lot easier.

‘He likes to get forward as well like Robertson does and we’ve seen him pick up some assists, so that would be a good replacement in my eyes.’
