Liverpool are looking to improve their defensive options with the signing of LOSC Lille defender Leny Yoro.

According to a report from RMC Sport, Liverpool are following his development closely and they could look to make a move for him at the end of the season. However, they will face competition from clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

The report states that the 18-year-old central defender could be available for a fee of around €60 million. It is no secret that live Liverpool will need to bring in defensive reinforcements this summer. Joel Matip has left the club on a free transfer and they will have to replace him adequately.

Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez can be quite unreliable in terms of availability. They have had their fair share of injury problems since joining the club. Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk is in his 30s and Liverpool will need more depth in the defensive unit if they want to compete for multiple trophies.

Yoro is widely regarded as one of the finest young defenders in European football, and he could develop into a key player for Liverpool in the coming seasons. The Reds have the financial muscle to afford him as well, and it will be interesting to see if they are prepared to break the bank for him.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are looking to bring in a quality central defender as well. They have signed a number of talented young players in recent years and it is evident that they are looking to put together a formidable squad for the future. The 18-year-old French defender would be a superb investment for them, and it will be interesting to see if they can win the race for his signature.

Both clubs would represent an exciting destination for the young defender, and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
