Liverpool have reportedly already reached an agreement over the €45million transfer of Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri to come in next season as the first signing of the post-Jurgen Klopp era.

The talented 22-year-old has really caught the eye during his time at Wolves and it seems he’s now expected to make his way to Anfield in a €45m deal next season, with everything pretty much agreed, according to Todo Fichajes.

It’s suggested that the Ait-Nouri to Liverpool transfer will go through unless there are any last-minute issues, with Todo Fichajes’ sources clearly confident this is very close to being a done deal.

It will be interesting to see how this story materialises and if others confirm it in the weeks and months ahead, but Ait-Nouri certainly looks like he could be a fine signing for Liverpool and other top clubs.

Ait-Nouri transfer: Liverpool now ahead of Chelsea in the race?

Chelsea have also been linked with Ait-Nouri in recent times, though Fabrizio Romano recently spoke exclusively to CaughtOffside to play down the links between the Blues and the Algeria international.

“As recently reported, Chelsea are keen to explore the left-backs market for the summer transfer window, most likely for a top young talent in that position, and so it’s inevitable that we’re going to be hearing a lot of names linked with the Blues in the weeks ahead,” Romano said in a recent Daily Briefing column.

“I’ve seen some reports about the likes of Rayan Ait-Nouri at Wolves, and also talented young Brest left-back Bradley Locko, but it’s still early to know specific names, as far as I understand.”

Chelsea arguably need a new left-back more than Liverpool after poor form from Marc Cucurella and a long spell of repeated injury problems for Ben Chilwell, whereas LFC already have Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas as solid options on the left-hand side of their defence.
