Liverpool have still not made any new signing this summer and the fans are anxiously waiting for fresh faces to join the club.

New manager Arne Slot joined the club with the excitement of a new era at Anfield but the fans have been disappointed by how the club have acted in the transfer market this summer.

The Reds have lost Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara and Adrian this summer which makes it pretty obvious that new additions are needed in a number of different positions this summer.

Liverpool are currently the only team in Europe’s top five leagues not to have made a new signing.

According to a report from The Athletic, the Reds are looking to sign players aged 24 or under who have gained experience already at such a young age.

The Reds have identified three positions that they want to strengthen this summer.

The first priority is the centre-back position and a new partner for Virgil Van Dijk is needed to guard the goal.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot is still waiting for the club to make new signings.

A wide-attacker is needed, someone who can compete with the likes of Luis Diaz or Mohamed Salah and offer the Merseyside club a new option if the two players are out of form and cannot perform consistently.

The third position that they have identified is the holding midfielder position, someone who can provide them stability and composure in the middle of the park.

Liverpool are the only Premier League club not to sign a player

It is surprising that the Reds have not supported their new manager by providing him new players in the transfer window.

Liverpool need new additions to challenge for trophies again next season and their squad needs an addition of two or three players in order to make them a competitive force again.

The Merseyside club finished third in the league behind Manchester City and Arsenal last season.

Those two teams have strengthened themselves this summer and Liverpool should do the same.
