Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The 23-year-old has been quite impressive for Wolves in the Premier League and his performances have attracted the attention of Liverpool, as per Football Insider. The player will be tempted to join one of the biggest clubs in the world and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can get the deal done.

Andrew Robertson has been quite underwhelming this past season and Liverpool lead to plan for the future. Signing a quality left-back will be a top priority for them and the 23-year-old Algerian international would be the ideal acquisition.

Liverpool have already dealt with his agent when they signed Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota. It remains to be seen whether they can get a deal done for the Algerian as well.

Apart from his quality as a defender, the 23-year-old is quite impressive going forward and he would add a new dimension to the Liverpool attack as well.

The Reds certainly have the financial resources to tempt the West Midlands club into selling Ait-Nouri and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

The defender will look to join a club capable of competing for major trophies and Liverpool certainly have a proven track record when it comes to competing at the highest level. They will be able to offer him UEFA Champions League football next season as well. It will be interesting to see if the clubs can negotiate a reasonable deal now.

The defender is still only 23 and he is likely to improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into an indispensable asset for the club. Furthermore, he is well settled in English football and he could make an instant impact at Liverpool if the transfer goes through.
