Slot admires Salah’s work ethic
At a press conference after his team’s collective demonstration, coach Arne Slot had velvet words for Salah. The Dutch technician praised the talent of his star striker, but also the enormous work behind the scenes which allows him to maintain such consistency at the highest level.
“Salah is showing what he has always shown at Liverpool for so many years, that he can score. The team simply must put him in the best possible condition, as was the case several times in this match. Then, he is capable of scoring goals or providing assists. In addition to being a very good player, he is a very nice person who is pleasant to work with. He is always there to help his teammates, he has his feet on the ground. Monday, or even now, I think he’s already working on his recovery. He understands what it takes to be at that level every three days. He works very hard for this. Maybe that’s what impressed me the most, that a great player like him understands how hard he has to work to reach this level.” confided the former Feyenoord coach.
