Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.
The Egyptian international is in the final year of his contract with the club and he could move on as a free agent next summer. There have been rumours of a potential contract extension, and a report from Liverpool Echo claims that the player is desperate to sign a new deal with the club.
Saudi Arabian clubs were keen on signing the player last year and Liverpool turned down a £150 million offer from Al-Ittihad back them. The Saudi clubs are still keen on securing his signature on a free transfer next summer and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
It appears that Salah is ready to extend his stay in the Premier League and the development should come as a major boost for Liverpool. He is undoubtedly their best attacker and Liverpool must do everything in their power to keep him at the club for as long as possible.

Liverpool must hold on to Mo Salah
Even though he is in his 30s, he remains a world class player who is performing with remarkable consistency. The Egyptian international has scored three goals in three games this season and he will look to guide his side to major trophies this season.
Apart from his contributions on the pitch, his availability remains one of his best attributes. The Egyptian has an outstanding fitness record and he has rarely missed a game for Liverpool.
The Reds simply cannot afford to lose a player of his calibre any time soon. They are already lacking in natural goalscorers and players like Darwin Nunez have not been able to live up to the expectations. Salah is an indispensable asset for Liverpool, and they must look to tie him down to a new deal.
