Liverpool and Newcastle will contest English football's first major trophy of the 2024/25 season in the Carabao Cup final this weekend.
The Reds beat Chelsea in last year's showpiece to get their hands on the trophy and now they’re aiming to win at Wembley again.

Arne Slot's men will now take on Newcastle who cruised past Arsenal in the final four, beating them 2-0 in both legs of their clash.
Eddie Howe has led the Magpies to two Carabao Cup finals in three years, and he'll be hoping for a different outcome this time.
The Toon were beaten finalists in the 2023 edition, losing 2-0 to Manchester United as the club's long wait to end their hunt for domestic silverware continues.

The 2024/25 Carabao Cup final is set to take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, March 16.
Kick-off at Wembley Stadium is scheduled for 4:30pm.

The Reds are set to be without Tyler Morton, Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley but otherwise have a healthy contingent to choose from.
It marks a dramatic turnaround from the 2024 final, where the club had 11 senior injuries at Wembley which included Mohamed Salah.
The Magpies this year are enduring their own crisis for the final, with Anthony Gordon serving a suspension following his FA Cup red card.
Lewis Hall has been confirmed to be out for the season with a foot injury - ironically sustained in the Premier League defeat to Liverpool.
Sven Botman has since been ruled out of the Wembley final as well, with Jamaal Lascelles also out on the sidelines.
There were also concerns over Alexander Isak after he limped off against Brighton, but he the Toon's star man is expected to be fine.

Ally McCoist feels it is harsh that Gordon misses the cup final for a red card in a different competition.
The winger was sent off by referee Anthony Taylor for shoving Jan Paul van Hecke during their 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Brighton.
Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast, he said: "I think they've got to appeal it, but they'll lose it, but I don't think there are any grounds for an appeal.
"I felt for him because he just loses his head, and that cup final appearance has disappeared before his very eyes."
"But should you be penalised for a trophy you've not been sent off in?
"He's getting punished for a different tournament, and I am not sure I am 100 per cent comfortable with that."
