Pedro Neto has many admirers, including Liverpool, but according to recent reports, Liverpool will have to spend £80 million for his services.

After an outstanding season at Molineux, Neto appears to be among the most sought-after players in the Premier League this summer.

In all competitions, the 23-year-old has three goals and ten assists, and in four of his previous five games, he has directly contributed to a goal.

Numerous elite teams have expressed interest in his services as a result of his brilliant form, and Liverpool have been mentioned frequently.

However, David Ornstein of The Athletic reports that the Portuguese winger’s contract expires in 2027 and that a transfer would cost about £80 million.

The likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, and Newcastle United are also interested in signing the Liverpool transfer target.

Since Dan Ashworth, Newcastle’s sporting director, is a major Neto fan, Manchester United may be considered if he takes over as the transfer chief at Old Trafford.

Last season, Wolves had to let go of several first-team players because they were in danger of going against the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

However, following a successful season, that does not appear to be the case this year, as manager Gary O’Neil stated recently that they will only consider proposals that are very serious.

“Financially we’re in a place where we don’t need to lose our best players – we don’t need to lose any players,” O’Neil told talkSPORT earlier this week. “So that puts us in a better place than we were last summer initially, so we can make our own decisions on what is best for the club rather than what might need to be done.

“No-one will be leaving if it doesn’t suit us. Obviously if top, top clubs come calling for players and the price is right and we think it’s better for Wolves, then it will always be a consideration.”

Given the increasing doubts around Mohamed Salah’s future, Liverpool are anticipated to give priority in the summer to a fresh right-wing alternative.

Three stars, including the Egyptian, are about to enter the last 12 months of their contracts. The Saudi Pro League is anticipated to make a bid comparable to the £150 million approach that was turned down late in the summer.
