The game which was held at Carrington Training Ground on Tuesday, saw United claim a 4-3 win in acrimonious circumstances.

The incident happened prior to United’s second equaliser.

With the Red Devils in possession, Wheatley foils Furnell-Gill’s attempts to stop an attack but a collision between the pair resulted in the Liverpool star landing a punch before continuing his run.

Wheatley somehow remained on his feet but clutched his face in amazement that he was not awarded a free-kick.

The Manchester United starlet became further embroiled after the pair clashed again later on in the match.

Footage showed Furnell-Gill seemingly throwing an elbow into Wheatley’s face sparking an angry reaction from the United forward.

Somehow, the Liverpool youngster again went unpunished for his antics in what could have resulted in a nasty injury for his opponent.

Furnell-Gill has made eight appearances for the Reds in the Under-18 Premier League this season.
