LNER issue trains warning for Newcastle United fans going to Fulham

Newcastle United fans have had a warning from LNER about trains, if they are hoping to travel by rail on Saturday from Tyneside to London.

The warning issued just 72 hours before the match at Craven Cottage.

LNER explaining (see below) the difficulties Newcastle United fans will be facing…

LNER announcement via Twitter for Newcastle United fans travelling to Fulham on Saturday:

‘Services between Newcastle and London Kings Cross on Sat 6 April are expected to be very busy.

Football fans will be travelling to/ from Newcastle for the Newcastle United away match at Fulham.

We are already running a reduced service on this date due to industrial action.

If you haven’t already booked a seat for your service, you can still travel, but you may have to stand.

The last LNER service from London Kings Cross to Newcastle is 18:00, but we understand it will be hard for fans to get this service if they leave after the final whistle.

Lumo Travel’s final service is 18:27 Kings Cross to Newcastle but is already at capacity.’
