Lola Vice believes Shayna Baszler is jealous of her and looks forward to an extremely violent match with her this Sunday at NXT Battleground.
NXT Superstar Lola Vice recently sat down with Scott Fishman of TVInsider. When asked what differences we should expect in her NXT Underground match with Shayna Baszler at Battleground this weekend since there have been rumors of it taking place in an octagon, Vice said the match will have a similar look and style to the one she had against Natalya.
“It will be a similar look and style to the one I had with Natalya. The only thing I will tell you is this match will be extremely violent,” Lola Vice teased. “We are fighting, and I will knock out Shayna Baszler.”
When asked who she draws inspiration from, Vice admitted she’s gotten inspiration from her Battleground opponent this Sunday, Shayna Baszler.
“I got inspiration from Shayna Baszler. She is someone I watched coming into this company,” Lola Vice revealed. “I watch her a lot. She was the most dominant NXT women’s champion we’ve had. I’ve studied her a lot. I brought her back to NXT to train for my fight against Natalya; It’s a shame she never let me be myself. I feel like she is jealous of me, and I have to prove a point to her.”
Lola Vice loves the increased integration with WWE and UFC
When asked about the increased integration between WWE and UFC this year, both under the Endeavor umbrella, Vice believes it to be destiny.
“For me, it feels like destiny,” Lola Vice said. “I fought in the cage, and my dream was to be in WWE. Now we’ve partnered with UFC and have our first show at the UFC Apex on Sunday; I think this is what I’m meant to do with my life, and there is nobody better for this moment than me. I was born for this; I have the background for this.
“I also have the MMA fans on my side that has translated to WWE and watching me every Tuesday and will tune into Battleground. It’s a dream come true to have this collaboration. The UFC is the top of the line. When I was in the cage and before WWE, my goal was to fight in the UFC until WWE found me. Now I can do both in a way, so there is no greater time.”
