IMG Credit: WWEHe’s selling it. There are all kinds of storylines in wrestling and several of them have to do with an injury of some sort. Those stories can often lead to something rather personal, with the question becoming just what is going to happen to someone who is hurt. WWE is doing that again at the moment and now we have an idea of what the injured star is doing to keep the story going.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: About Him: WWE’s Reported Backstage Reaction To Lee Fitting Allegations
Last week, Cody Rhodes successfully defended the WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in the main event of Saturday Night’s Main Event. Following the match, Owens attacked Rhodes and gave him a package piledriver, resulting in him leaving the arena in an ambulance. Rhodes appeared at his wife Brandi’s Naked Mind Yoga and Pilates event in Atlanta and was seen wearing a neck brace. It is not clear when he will return to WWE TV.

It’s a messy situation. Check out Rhodes and Owens:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can go a long way towards selling the story. Just by having him wearing a brace and acknowledging the injury, Rhodes is looking like he is trying to make things feel more realistic. That is something that you would regularly see back in the day and it is nice to have it back after it not being done very well for a good while. Rhodes is not done with Owens and we could be in for quite the moment when he returns to WWE TV.
