IMG Credit: WWEIt’s worth a look. Wrestlers have tried their hands at acting for decades and it certainly continues to this day. While many of them have had less than great success, every so often you will see someone do quite well in the new field. It is absolutely worth a try for several wrestlers, and now one of the biggest names in wrestling today is following in the footsteps of a fellow star.

Lionsgate has published a photo of WWE’s Drew McIntyre in his role in the upcoming film “The Killer’s Game”. The film, which will be released in theaters on September 13, also stars former WWE Superstar Dave Batista and Ben Kingsley. This will be McIntyre’s first acting role and comes after he signed with the Paradigm Talent Agency earlier this year. There is no word on if McIntyre plans to pursue more acting roles in the future.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing you see happen from time to time and why not? If McIntyre can do something in the acting world, it could be a nice bonus career for him later. While there are only going to be so many parts he is seen as right for, he is already at least getting his foot in the door here. Maybe it leads nowhere, but it’s a cool thing to see him try like this.
