Christian Eriksen was left feeling disappointed following Manchester United’s 1-1 draw against FC Twente in the Europa League.
The experienced Dane scored his second goal of the season in the first half to give United a well deserved lead.
However, the Reds were unable to build on that and suffered a costly price when Sam Lammers’ near post strike provided an equaliser for the visitors.
Eriksen didn’t cover himself in glory for Twente’s leveller, and letting the attack bypass him before handing over possession when it was retained.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the match, Eriksen gave an honest assessment, saying it looked like Twente wanted it more.
“They looked like they wanted it more than us and that can’t be right.”

It’s an insult but one each member of the team has to take on the chin. Eriksen didn’t seem to shy away from responsibility because his overall mood was disappointing.
I’d imagine the feeling was mutual inside the dressing room at full-time.
