While the transfer window is over, LOSC has just completed yet another acquisition for its first team.

Lille is now well equipped to have a big campaign, both on the national and continental scene. While it already had an interesting squad, the northern club went looking for a choice reinforcement in midfield.

LOSC gets a European champion

Outside of the transfer window, Lille signed a free agent, André Gomes. The latter had been without a club since leaving Everton. There was therefore no transfer fee to pay for his services.

André Gomes (31 years old) is a choice reinforcement for the Dogues. European Champion in 2016, he notably spent time with Barcelona between 2016 and 2019. Even if he is also known for his physical problems, he should be a real asset to Bruno Genésio.

Within the Lille team, Gomes will be able to count on the presence of two compatriots to facilitate his adaptation, namely Tiago Santos and Rafael Fernandes.

Martial will not come

It should be noted that the Anthony Martial track, another “free agent”, has definitely evaporated on the Lille side. The French international is not expected to settle on the Stade Pierre Mauroy side. His future seems to be rather taking shape in Brazil, with extensive contacts with Flamengo.
