Manchester United are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window.
It will be the first transfer window with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos Group in control of football operations.
The British billionaire had his deal to buy 25% of Manchester United ratified by the Premier League this season. A formal announcement is expected this week on the matter.
However, with United on the lookout for new signings and Ineos active to the French market from their ownership at Nice, we can expect the club to take a look at some of the stars Ligue 1 has to offer.
Two names reportedly on United’s radar already include Jonathan David and Khephren Thuram.
Former United striker Louis Saha believes both players could make an impact at Old Trafford, with Lille’s David a long-established striker in the French top flight and Thuram turning heads as Nice’s new prospect.
“Regarding Jonathan David and Khéphren Thuram, I do believe they’re ready,” Louis Saha told Betfred, as quoted by DAZN.
“I follow Khéphren as he plays next door to me and he has the power to play for any club in England, that’s for sure and it wouldn’t be a surprise to me at all if a move to England happens for him.
“For anyone who follows Ligue 1, they will understand that it’s the same for Jonathan David because he’s a really strong striker, he’s got a lot of quality and he’s a good player.
“If they move to the Premier League, both these players will need time to adapt but they’re certainly good players.”
