5 Tyler Francis is speaking out about the end of his marriage to Ashley Adionser!
In case you missed it, Ashley announced to People this week that they “have been separated for several weeks” and “made the difficult decision” to divorce after more than a year together. It’s a sad and shocking update for this Love Is Blind couple. And now Tyler is addressing the breakup.

The reality star wrote on his Instagram Stories on Thursday:
“As many of you may have seen, Ashley has shared the news of our decision to end our marriage. This has been an incredibly difficult and emotional process for both of us, and it is one we have approached with great care and respect for one another. While our journey together began with so much hope and love, we came to realize that there were challenges we could not overcome. I take full accountability for my role in the difficulties we faced, and I respect Ashley’s decision to move forward in a way that prioritizes her peace and happiness.”
Huh. We like the “full accountability” part — don’t see that from reality stars or men in general too often. But when he says “Ashley’s decision to move forward” — it really sounds like he’s confirming she was the one who left him! So… what was the problem? Or should we ask, what did he do??
Despite her choice to end the marriage, Tyler had nothing but great things to say about Ashley. He continued:
“Ashley is an incredible woman, and I have nothing but admiration and gratitude for the love and support she has given me. I ask for kindness and understanding as we both move forward separately, focusing on healing and growing.”

But what did he need to take accountability for? That’s the question neither of them has answered yet!
In her divorce announcement, Ashley expressed that she “hoped for mutual understanding and transparency” but soon realized their “paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible” for her to continue the relationship. It sounds like he wasn’t honest with her about something! What that something is, as we mentioned, is unclear right now! So far, their lips are zipped! However, Tyler has not been upfront about his past with Ashley before! Remember that sperm donor scandal?
After getting engaged on the seventh season of Love Is Blind, Tyler told Ashley he was a sperm donor for a friend and had three biological children. He insisted on camera that he did not have a relationship with the kids nor even knew what they looked like. Despite being upset that he told her all this after the engagement, she moved forward with the wedding. However, the post-wedding bliss did not last long.
Before the reunion, more details about the sperm donor situation came out. And it turns out he LIED! He did have a relationship with the children! It was not just in a family friend or an uncle kind of way, either. Whether he wants to admit it or not, he is their dad! There are pictures of him with the kids! The mom, Bri Thomas, claimed Tyler was a sperm donor for her first kid but chose step up and be their father when she and her wife split! They then had twins together! She also accused him of owing child support and abandoning the children to be on Love Is Blind. Awful.
However, both Tyler and Ashley insisted she was not blindsided by this information. He told Ashley what happened off-camera but knowingly lied on-camera to protect the kids’ privacy. Yeah, right…
Ashley was in contact with the baby momma at one point. And when it comes to his involvement with the children? They’ve both downplayed his role in their lives, insisting he was nothing more than an “uncle” or a “glorified babysitter that [the mother of their children] need money from.” Jeez.
We have no idea if this situation or something else (like cheating?) caused the divorce, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Ashley found out Tyler really didn’t tell the full truth here… again.
