EXCLUSIVE: UTA has signed multi-platinum, Grammy-winning rapper and actor Chris “Ludacris” Bridges for global representation in all areas, including film, television, music touring, and ventures.
The signing comes following the 25th anniversary of Back for the First Time, the rapper’s sophomore album.
In a career that has spanned nearly three decades, Ludacris has sold over 20 million albums, received three Grammys for Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, and Best Rap Album, and secured five number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100. His musical resume also includes four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, 56 Hot 100 charted singles, and 18 different top 10 Hot 100 records.
Ludacris is otherwise best known for starring in Universal’s Fast & Furious franchise, one of the most successful action film series in history, and the biggest ever for Universal Pictures. Evolving since 2001’s The Fast and the Furious from looking at underground street racing to global espionage, the films have Ludacris playing Tej, a tech-savvy mechanic, race organizer and hacker who is a core member of Dominic Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) crew. So far grossing over $7 billion across 11 films, the franchise’s next installment is expected to arrive in theaters next year.
Also seen in films like the Best Picture Oscar winner Crash and the Oscar-nominated Hustle & Flow, Ludacris more recently starred alongside Lil Rel in the 2023 Christmas comedy Dashing Through the Snow.
As an entrepreneur, Ludacris opened restaurant Chicken-n-Beer at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport in 2016 and expanded to LAX in 2023. In addition to his culinary venture, he serves as a brand partner for Movado, Haagen Dazs, Endurance and Mercedes-Benz USA. As a philanthropist, he’s known for his 2001 founding of The Ludacris Foundation to support youth in his hometown of Atlanta, as well as collaborations with No Kid Hungry and Feeding America.
We’re told Ludacris’ decision to sign with UTA was influenced by the agency’s recent corporate expansion into the Georgia capital. He continues to be represented by managers Chaka Zulu and Jeff Dixon of Ebony Son Entertainment, as well as attorney Darrell Miller of Fox Rothschild.
