Luis Campos does not link his future to that of Kylian Mbappé at PSG. Very close since AS Monaco, the two men have often been associated to continue their collaboration elsewhere than at PSG. With the departure of the striker from the capital club to Real Madrid, there was talk of the Portuguese following the player to Spain. The Portuguese manager was also already an employee of the Casa Blanca between 2010 and 2013. He denies all this, as he claims not to have joined PSG because Mbappé was already there.

I don’t agree with that. I simply received an invitation from PSG, from its president, to work within it. And I had the pleasure there of meeting Mbappé again, a second time because I had already worked with him when he was emerging at Monaco. It was a pleasure and I wish him good luck now.» assures during the Thinking Football Summit in Porto. He also refused to answer about the conflict that now opposes his former protégé with his current employer.
