The PSG coach can sometimes have a failing memory. Especially when it suits him.
In the three-part series dedicated to him, entitled “You Have No Idea”, Luis Enrique assures that he would not have liked to be the coach of PSG at the time when Neymar, Messi and Kylian Mbappé were playing together. Invited to respond to this statement, the Spanish coach now claims to have lost his memory.
“I don’t remember anything anymore, he confessed this Thursday, at a press conference, before continuing his explanation in French. I don’t remember anything. I’m going to use this press conference to tell you that I will not comment on any sentence in the documentary taken out of context. I don’t regret anything I said, but I won’t comment because these are things said in the heat of the moment. What I said, I believe, it’s my opinion.”
Luis Enrique ready to cut his salary in half
In this documentary which will be released on September 30th on Movistar+the former FC Barcelona coach also took the opportunity to discuss his complicated relationship with journalists. “If I was offered a 25% pay cut so I wouldn’t have to talk to the media anymore, I would do it.”assures the coach of the Red and Blue.
“It was a spontaneous thought, justifies the native of Gijón. It’s true that if today you make me sign a paper saying that I no longer speak to the press and that in return, my salary is reduced by 25% or even 50%, I would sign it immediately. But I think it’s impossible because in the contracts that we sign with the clubs, there is the obligation to speak. I have a good time with you, but if I could avoid it, I would avoid it.
