Carlo Ancelotti is ready to trust Luka Modric in the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid move closer to the La Liga title thanks to their 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad ahead of the first leg in Munich. Ancelotti made nine changes to the starting team at San Sebastian, keen to preserve his stars for the trip to Bavaria.
However, the match at the Anoeta Stadium was also an opportunity for some players to stake their claim for a starting spot, and Modric was one of them.

The veteran midfielder came off the bench in both of Real Madrid’s quarter-finals against Manchester City and Ancelotti is ready to use him again if necessary.
“ Modric showed again what he showed in the last matches. He is in optimal physical condition. It allows us to release the pressure. His condition is spectacular and he can play on Tuesday”the Italian indicated at a press conference.
Ancelotti will likely use Modric to seal a result in Munich, but a start is not out of the question for the Croatian, who is looking to build on his 125 Champions League appearances as he gets his revenge after being used sparingly this season.
