Lyfe Jennings Speaks On His Viral ‘Love & Hip Hop’ Scene With Karlie Redd & Shares Why He Purchased Her A $30 Ring

Roomies, Lyfe Jennings is spillin’ the tea about his legendary moment with Karlie Redd on ‘Love and Hip Hop Atlanta’ back in 2016. The ‘Must Be Nice’ singer shared the story of the infamous ring he gave to Karlie while appearing on Angela Yee’s ‘Lip Service.’

Lyfe Jennings Recalls Relationship With Karlie Redd & Iconic ‘Love & Hip Hop’ Episode

During his chat with Angela Yee, Life Jennings revealed that he originally hopped on ‘Love & Hip Hop’ to push his album, but that never happened. He also mentioned Karlie Redd had asked him to join the show before, but he kept turning it down. After some thought, he gave it a shot and finally jumped on board.

“We had never promoted my album one God d**n time. Now mind you, we promoted all this other bulls**t. Never promoted my album, but I’m still giving it the benefit of the doubt, because y’all women be tricking me man,” Lyfe said.

Once Lyfe finally joined the show, he revealed one of his homeboys working on the set warned him that Karlie Redd was planning to clown him on the episode and make him look crazy. He then responded by saying he was going to flip the script and beat her at her own game instead.

“I said this is going to be a classic moment in ‘Love & Hip Hop’ history and hence the ring, hence the falling out,” Lyfe continued.

Roomies, if y’all remember Lyfe’s 2016, ‘Love & Hip Hop’ moment when he came through with a ring for Karlie. He never said if it was an engagement ring, but Karlie assumed it was and ended up falling off the bench. Lyfe later told her it was a promise ring, and she’d “never find another n***a like him.” He let her keep the ring, then walked off, breaking up with her right there.

As far as the ring, Lyfe shared that it only cost $30. Additionally, he mentioned that when he heard about Karlie’s plans to play him he went and purchased it.
