Lyra Valkyria wants WWE to host a PLE in her home country.
In recent years, the company has strayed away from the US and Canada, and began holding regular big events abroad.
This included shows in Saudi Arabia, England, Wales, Scotland, France and Germany, with each show being a huge hit with fans all over the world. The crowds in particular have been praised, bring their own local flavor to the proceedings.
However, one country that has been left out is the Republic of Ireland. The Emerald Isle have always been big fans of the WWE. 22,000 fans turned up for a Smackdown house show in 2005, showing their incredible support for the company.
Lyra Valkyria spoke with Video Game Chronicles about where she’d love to see a new WWE PLE. The Irish star understandably wanted to see them bring a big show to her home country of Ireland.
She added that she wants to see it “anywhere in Dublin”. However, Lyra Valkyria name-dropped the 3 Arena as a venue that means “so much to me”.
“I’d absolutely love to see a PLE in Ireland. Anywhere in Dublin, though the 3 Arena is always going to mean so much to me since that’s where I went to see WWE when I was younger.”
While WWE have yet to run a PLE in Ireland, Lyra Valkyria will take solace in the fact that they have tried. An NXT UK PLE was planned to take place in Ireland in 2020. However, due to the pandemic, that had to be cancelled.
Hopefully a future Ireland show can be put on, with stars like Finn Balor, Sheamus and Lyra Valkyria taking center-stage in Dublin.
