Madonna is moving forward to make a class action lawsuit go away. The 65-year-old “Like a Prayer” pop icon is firing back in new legal documents obtained by TMZ, following a class action suit accusing her of starting her shows late. Madonna was sued by a man named Michael Fellows back in January, who is trying to put together the class action suit after she opened late during her December Celebration Tour concerts in Brooklyn, New York. Keep reading to find out more… According to the paperwork, Madonna says her fans understand how her concerts work, including the fact that she runs late and the time printed on her concert tickets is not the time the show stars. The lawsuit claims Madonna started her act at 10:30 PM on nights when the show was supposed to start at 8:30 PM. “If a fan is familiar enough with Madonna‘s concert history to know her performances run for two hours and fifteen minutes, that fan would surely know that Madonna typically takes the stage well after the ticketed event time (after an opening act, set transition, and so on) and plays late into the night,” the legal docs declare. Madonna is asking a judge to dismiss the lawsuit. She recently made history with a star-studded show in Brazil.
