Marvel‘s Blade has been taken off of the 2025 release schedule. The film was supposed to be released on November 7, 2025, however, the studio removed the film and will now be releasing Elle Fanning‘s Predator: Badlands on that date instead. Keep reading to find out more… About the delay, Deadline reports that, “The studio won’t make the movie until they’ve cracked a great script.” They also said that for Marvel exec Kevin Feige, “It’s important to make the best Blade movie ever.” Blade has had numerous issues in pre-production. The film’s first director, Bassam Tariq, exited the movie two months before it was supposed to enter production in late 2022. The director who replaced Bassam, Yann Demange, exited the movie earlier this year. Blade was announced as a project back in 2019, and Mahershala Ali has been attached as the titular character since then. Actress Mia Goth joined the cast as supervillian Lilith in April 2023. There are three upcoming 2025 Marvel movies still set for release at this time: Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and The Fantastic Four.
