Just before the international break, Barcelona were dealt a double fitness blow as key forwards Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal both picked up injuries.

Lewandowski is dealing with a back problem which led to him being withdrawn from the Poland national team squad.

Meanwhile, Yamal missed Barça’s La Liga game against Real Sociedad and was subsequently forced out of the Spain squad for their UEFA Nations League matches as well.

However, in a major boost, Javi Miguel reports that both Lewandowski and Yamal will be fit and ready to return when Barcelona take on Celta Vigo right after the international break.

In fact, the report even states that defender Eric Garcia, who has been out for a while now due to pubalgia, will also be back in time for the clash against the Galician outfit.

It will be a welcome boost for Hansi Flick who has not been able to work with an entire fully-fit squad thus far in his stint at Barcelona.

The report adds that while Lewandowski and Yamal will be back against Celta, only the former is expected to start for Barça with the young winger only likely to feature from the bench.

Furthermore, Hector Fort, who also withdrew from the Spain Under-19 squad due to some back discomfort, is also expected to be back for Barça against Celta.

It leaves Flick without Ronald Araujo, Ferran Torres, Andres Christensen, Ansu Fati, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and Marc Bernal with the latter two being long-term injury absentees expected to be back only for next season.
