Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Sets 2025 Awards Timeline

Brush up on those contenders: The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild has revealed the timeline for its 2025 MUAHS Awards, which celebrate outstanding achievements for make-up artists and hair stylists in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater.

The 12th annual ceremony is set for Saturday, February 15, at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Nominees will be revealed on Tuesday, December 10.

Maestro, Saltburn and Barbie were the big film winners at the 11th annual MUAHS in February. Since the modern MUAHS Awards began in 2014, one of its marquee film winners for makeup or hair has gone on to claim the Best Makeup and Hairstyling Oscar every year except once. The 2022 Academy Award went to The Eyes of Tammy Faye, which was up for three of the guild’s awards that year but went home empty-handed.

The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild, IATSE, Local 706, was chartered in November 1937 and today includes more than 2,300 of make-up and hair styling professionals.

Monday, January 13: Final online voting begins

Sunday, February 9, 2025, 11:59 p.m. PT: Final online voting ends

Saturday, February 15: MUAHS Awards Gala
