David Duchovny, Jack Whitehall and Game of Thrones star Carice van Houten are helming a psychological thriller for Amazon Prime Video.
The trio are leading Malice, which is being produced by Clarkson’s Farm producer Expectation and Tailspin Films.
The show is understood to be following a young man, played by British comic and Bad Education star Whitehall, who tries to infiltrate the world of a wealthy family. X-Files star Duchovny and van Houten, who played Melisandre in Game of Thrones, will play the heads of the family.
Duchovny, best known for playing Mulder in The X-Files, most recently appeared in Hulu’s History of the World, Part II and Meg Ryan romcom What Happens Later. Whitehall is starring in American romcom Silent Retreat and recently helmed a return of the BBC’s Bad Education. Van Houten is best known for her Game of Thrones turn but also featured in Black Book and Apple TV+’s Dangerous Liaisons.
Last week, Deadline revealed some of Prime Video’s teams in Europe are restructuring and being given more investment, while there are layoffs in Africa and the Middle East & North Africa.
Variety was first with the Malice news.
