Food brand Mamador has organised a capacity-building programme for women in health and financial education at its August Women Meeting.
During the meeting with the Mamador August Women Meeting with the theme ‘Nourish to Flourish: Elevating Health and Wealth’ in Lagos recently, health and financial experts, including Sandra Oluwadare, Sola Adesakin, Dr Chinonso Egemba and Kaffy Shaffau, educated women on how they could improve their health and maximise their wealth.
According to PZ Wilmar’s Head of Marketing, Chioma Mbanugo, Mamador’s August Meeting is a notable platform to celebrate women for their societal contributions.
Mbanugo said the event was the brand’s way of saying to women, “We see you and we are here to support you.”
She stated that the South-East tradition of August Women Meetings inspired the Mamador event, which helped women discuss the issues they face in their finances, health and personal space.
“Mamador is committed to the financial and physical well-being of Nigerian women nationwide,” Mbanugo added.
Family and Parenting Coach, Sandra Oluwadare, addressed the event attendees on how parents are shapers and moulders of destinies.
She encouraged the women to be intentional with raising their children.
Health content creator, Dr Chinonso Egemba, also known as Aproko Doctor, encouraged the women on better health choices, as he spoke on themes, including sleep, healthy eating and hypertension.
“Your health begins with what you eat,” Egemba said.
Finance coach Sola Adesakin delivered a lecture on managing money and investing as paths to financial freedom for women.
She said, “It is not enough to earn money, learn how to manage it.”
The event featured an elevator pitch for women entrepreneurs in which Vennile Pads emerged as the winner while Maka Marvi and Farhms Food and Sauce Global Limited came in second and third, respectively.
The winner of the elevator pitch received a N2m cash prize while the first runner-up and second runner-up got N1m and N500,000, respectively.
