Although Man City are the reigning Premier League and European champions, Pep Guardiola’s relentless quest for perfection means that if the world’s best players are potentially available, then he has to be interested.
The Cityzens won’t get everything their own way in the transfer market of course, however, it’s clear why players would consider the Etihad Stadium an ideal destination.
Guardiola is for many the best coach in the world, and City currently have some of the best players in the world in their ranks.
They’re going well in both the Premier League and Champions League again, and it would hardly be a surprise if they were to land both trophies again this season.
One player that they have their eye on for next season is Shakhtar Donetsk’s 21-year-old midfielder, Georgiy Sudakov, according to Calciomercato.
Although he’s believed to have a €150m release clause, it’s thought that offers nearer the €50m mark would be enough to get the Ukrainian side to the negotiating table.

City could have competition for Sudakov’s services, and they run the risk of starting an auction for a player that has three goals and one assist in 18 games this season.
The outlet also note that Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Liverpool are all keeping a watchful eye on what happens next as far as Sudakov is concerned.
