Manchester United have been linked with a move for RB Leipzig and Spain star Dani Olmo.

Now it seems like the Reds will have still competition for the talented playmaker (H/t Daily Mail), who can also attack from wide positions.

German publication BILD suggests that Erik ten Hag could be about to receive a blow in United’s pursuit for Olmo.

The Spain international has seven goals and five assists in 21 appearances so far this season which has led to interest from several Premier League clubs, including United.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are two other clubs believed to be interested in Olmo, however, the latest reports from Germany claim Olmo has his heart set on a transfer to Man City.

These links happen to surface at a time when City are reportedly looking at the idea of selling Bernardo Silva, with Pep Guardiola viewing Olmo as the ideal replacement.

Olmo still has three years remaining on his contract at RB Leipzig but it is understood a €60 million (£51.42m) release clause hangs over his name.

Meanwhile at United, Olmo could give United something different as Ten Hag looks to move on players like Christian Eriksen in the summer. We’ve also got to find a role in the team for Mason Mount when he’s fully fit.
